Ronald G. Johnsey brings more than 30 years of experience in the development, financing, marketing, and management of high-profile commercial and residential properties in major markets in the United States. He has successfully built, acquired, financed, and managed over $1 billion of real estate as a developer, lender, and owner during his career.
Johnsey is a former director and member of the executive and asset management committees of ConCap Equities, Inc. (CEI), the general partner of 16 publicly-traded limited partnerships with annual revenues exceeding $115 million and assets of $500 million, consisting of 21,225 apartment units and 3,124,692 square feet of commercial space in 23 states. Additionally, Johnsey was vice president of acquisitions and asset management for an affiliate of Gordon Investment Corporation, a Canadian merchant banking company. For Gordon, he was responsible for the acquisition of 4,316 apartment units and a 50% ownership interest in CEI, as well as the formation and management of its property management company. He has also held senior positions at the Drummond Company, The First National Bank of Chicago, Texas Commerce Bank, The Farb Company, and Dimension Development Company. Johnsey is an advisory director of Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. (AMEX:APTS) and Chandan Economics.
Johnsey received a B.A. from Birmingham Southern College, an M.B.A. from Emory University, and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. He has been active in the Rotary Club, the United Way, the Chamber of Commerce (Chairman of the Legislative Action Committee), the Christian Home for Children, and other organizations.
Keith Walters has over 25 years of experience in successfully growing businesses with an entrepreneurial focus on results. Walters is recognized for leveraging his unique blend of business expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, technical background and operational talents to create growth on the top line and value on the bottom line. His expertise in the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans, along with his talents in business operational leadership and management, has been leveraged by multiple organizations to drive successful startups, turnarounds and overall growth.
Walters was an outside director of Axiometrics prior to becoming Axiometrics’ COO. Walters is formerly President and COO of Sagiss, LLC, a Dallas-based IT Managed Services Provider where he led the company through a complete change in its business delivery model. Under Walters’ leadership Sagiss was recognized in the MSPMentor 100 as one of the top such providers in the US. Additionally, Walters was Vice-President and General Manager of Global Program and Performance Management for Keane, a $1B Boston-based services company. As VP/GM of one of Keane’s six global business lines, he led the efforts of the company’s top business performance and program management consultants and was a member of the executive management team transforming the company into a globally focused organization. Prior to its purchase by Keane, Mr. Walters spent a number of years building and growing a small consulting firm into a regional consulting powerhouse.
Mr. Walters is a graduate of the University of Arkansas. He has been involved in various charity and community organizations and has previously served as a city council appointee on Dallas’ Permit License and Appeal Board.
With more than a decade of experience, Jay Denton has become a recognized figure in the multi-family research market, managing Axiometrics’ research and reporting capabilities and helping the company develop a reputation for delivering the most comprehensive, robust and actionable data on the apartment industry.
Denton joined Axiometrics as a Research Analyst immediately after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University. Quickly progressing in his responsibilities, Denton was named Research Manager, then Assistant Vice President, and in 2006 was appointed Vice President of Research. In this role, Denton is responsible for managing Axiometrics’ entire research operation, from setting the research schedule, to designing question formats, compiling the data, and conducting final quality control. In 2008, Denton managed Axiometrics’ transition to monthly data reporting.
In addition to his research responsibilities, Denton manages the development of Axiometrics’ product offerings, including the company’s market leading Competitive Pricing Survey, which recommends asking and effective rental rates and concessions by floor plan for a particular property. Denton also regularly conducts product sales demonstrations as well as client training and post-sale custom research.
Denton’s research and analytic expertise has been recognized in the industry and earned him speaking engagements with the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas and the Alabama Apartment Association.
